Undergraduate courses
The next intake into undergraduate courses will be first semester 2009.
Local students
Firstly, check that you are eligible for admission by viewing the undergraduate admission requirements.
You will then need to apply online through the University Admissions Centre (UAC) from August 2008.
Year 12 applicants
Your UAI will determine your eligibility for entry into an undergraduate course. View the UAI cut-offs for students starting in 2008.
Non-Year 12 applicants
If you are not completing Year 12 in 2008 (non-current school leaver) you are strongly advised to also submit a personal statement to UTS. The closing date for personal statements is 28 November 2008. Entry into courses is competitive and will be based on your responses and your performance in previous academic qualifications.
International students
If you are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident and you are not completing Year 12 at an Australian high school or TAFE you must apply through UTS International.
Please be aware that the Bachelor of Midwifery is not available to international students.
Honours
The next intake into undergraduate courses will be be first semester 2009. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2008.
Applicants will need to complete an Autumn Semester 2009 Application for Admission Direct Undergraduate Courses, which can be obtained from the Student Administration Unit (hard copy) or as a PDF by emailing Julie.Funnell@uts.edu.au
Applicants are also required to complete a supplementary form (pdf, 30kb), to be submitted with the application.
Scholarship application forms (pdf, 44kb) are now available and the closing date for scholarship applications will be 31 October 2008. Scholarship application forms are to be sent directly to the Faculty Research Administrator.
Postgraduate courses
Local students
The next intake into postgraduate courses for local students will be first semester 2009.
Applications are now open for the 2009 intake. To apply, you need to lodge your application online through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) at www.uac.edu.au/pg/. If you would prefer to lodge your application in person, you will have the opportunity to do so at our Postgraduate Info Evening.
Graduate Diploma in Midwifery applicants please note that you will also need to gain midwifery employment. Please read the Important information for Graduate Diploma in Midwifery students in 2009 (pdf, 60kb) and contact the hospital/s of your choice.
Closing dates for coursework applications are:
Round 1 - 31 October 2008
Round 2 - 28 November 2008
Round 3 - 30 January 2009
Round 2 and 3 applications will only be accepted if places are available.
N.B. Applications for scholarships often close before UTS course applications. We recommend that you seek relevant information as soon as possible if you wish to apply for a scholarship. We have listed a selection of scholarships.
International students
