Additional costs for undergraduate students
Uniforms
You are required to wear the official UTS: Nursing, Midwifery and Health uniform when on clinical practice placements. Currently, one shirt and a skirt or trousers cost approximately $110.
New students can order their uniform at enrolment. Current students can contact Career Clothing on 9954 5584 to discuss on-campus fittings or order online.
ID card holder
All nursing and midwifery students are required to have an ID card holder for clinical practice placements. These can be purchased for approximately $8, more information is provided to new students in the enrolment package.
Equipment
Nursing students are required to have instruments for clinical practice placements. The nursing equipment pack can be purchased for approximately $80, more information is provided for new students in the enrolment package. Midwifery students will be informed of equipment requirements in their first class.
Textbooks
Textbook costs will vary according to the reading requirements for each subject. The approximate cost of textbooks per year is $400. GST rebates and Coop bookshop discounts apply to book purchases.
