Applying during the NMH Postgraduate Info Evening

Documentation requirements

To take advantage of this opportunity to apply without paying an application fee, all applicants must bring the necessary supporting original documentation listed below.

  1. An official academic transcript or record of study (note: transcripts printed from institution websites will not be accepted. Current undergraduate UTS students do not have to provide this. Current undergraduate students from other universities will need to provide official academic transcripts of subjects completed so far)
  2. Evidence of completion of study if this is not stated on the academic record (note: current undergraduate students do not have to provide this)
  3. Evidence of name change if applicable
  4. Translations of any documents not in English
  5. Proof of English proficiency if medium of instruction at undergraduate level was not in English (eg. IELTS)
  6. If your previous studies were undertaken overseas and FULLY in the medium of English, a letter from the home institution on University letterhead to confirm that you have completed the course in the English medium
  7. CV which demonstrates professional experience and activities
  8. Passport (note: international applicants only)
  9. Any additional course-specific requirements listed below

If you do not have all of this information, the University prefers that local students apply online through UAC as UAC can get your results electronically and follow up any other issues relating to your application, and international students apply directly to UTS:International.

Students applying to any of the courses below must bring the relevant documentation listed in addition to the above documents.

Master of Nursing
Graduate Diploma in Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Acute Care Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Anaesthetics and Recovery Room Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Children's Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing

  • Evidence of current registration as a nurse with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board
  • Evidence of access to a relevant clinical setting (eg. staff card stating ward/unit of employment, letter from employer or letter from facility allowing access).

Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing
Graduate Certificate in Nursing Management

  • Evidence of current registration as a nurse with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board

Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching

  • Evidence of current registration as a nurse or midwife with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board

Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care
Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management

  • Evidence of access to a relevant clinical setting (eg. staff card stating ward/unit of employment, letter from employer or letter from facility allowing access).

Note: Only certain courses are available to international students.
