The University Graduate School, UTS Library and English Language Study Skills Assistance Centre offer a number of services and workshops that provide assistance where needed and to allow you to develop your skills.
University Graduate School (UGS)
The UGS runs workshops each month covering a wide variety of topics that apply to research students, such as research design, software packages such as Endnote, applying for ethics approval, the examination process and many more. The Faculty is notified by UGS of upcoming workshops and an email is sent to the Faculty's research students.

UTS Library
The UTS library provides a number of resources for postgraduate students such as increased borrowing privileges, journal databases and training in information retrieval and management. The library also runs training sessions for Endnote.

Computer services (ITD)
The Information Technology Division (ITD) provides a comprehensive range of facilities and services to meet the major computing and communication requirements of the University.
UTS - Human research ethics
The UTS Research and Innovation Office manages the Ethics application process.
Skills to Advance your Research (STAR)
UGS also provides an online service for research students known as STAR (Skills To Advance your Research). This website offers a large amount of interesting and useful advice for research students on matters such as thesis development, research methods, information management and career development.
English Language Study Skills Assistance (ELSSA)
The ELSSA Centre holds both individual sessions and targeted workshops. Some workshops are organised with the Faculty and offered during the Faculty Research Weeks, others are organised through UGS.
ELSSA can assist in areas such as preparation for the doctoral or masters assessment, writing skills and development. For more information about the workshops that ELSSA run go to the ELSSA homepage and look under 'Our Programs' to see what is running, or alternatively arrange an individual session.

The UGS research scholarships and support website contains information on both University and external scholarships and other support schemes for research students.

Maths Study Centre
The Mathematics Study and ICT Centre provides a support service to all students of UTS studying in various introductory mathematical or quantitative areas including statistics. The Mathematics Study and ICT Centre coordinates all mathematics support services over the University, and is available on both the City and Kuring-gai campuses.
