What are the Research Student Forums?
These days are designed to facilitate a number of important requirements for the Faculty's research students and to provide an opportunity for research students, supervisors, staff and invited guests to interact in formal and informal settings.
The RSF are comprised of facilitated discussion groups, in which students present an aspect of their project for which they are seeking assistance, advice or support. The discussion groups typically have 2-3 students presenting around a common theme and are facilitated by experienced researchers. Student Development Workshops are divided into broad streams of pre-assessment and post-assessment and address topics such as ethics application processes and procedures, literature review, methodology and others as required. Doctoral and Masters assessments may also held during the RSF. Student meetings between research students and Faculty research management staff are held during this time.
Who has to attend the Research Student Forums?
It is expected that all research students who are not on leave of absence or under examination attend. Supervisors of current research students are also expected to attend.
