Centres of Enterprise, Research and/or Community Service
UTS: Nursing, Midwifery and Health coordinates a range of international, educational, research, consultancy and continuing professional education activities through its Centres of Enterprise, Research and/or Community Service (CERCS).
Centre for Health Services Management
This Centre is a joint initiative with UTS: Business. The focus of this Centre is on the organisation of care, delivery of services and the practice of management in the health industry and delivery and management practices in health services. Health services management research aims to provide sound evidence upon which health policy and planning decisions can be made.
Centre for Midwifery, Child and Family Health
Work within this Centre focuses on women during pregnancy, labour and birth, the early postnatal period and children up to five years of age. The research within this domain seeks to improve the quality of practice and services provided by practitioners, particularly midwives and child and family health nurses.
WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Development
This Centre forms part of an international collaborative network which supports and undertakes projects in support of the World Health Organization's programmes at national, regional and international levels. It is the only WHO CC in nursing and midwifery in Australia and one of only seven in the Western Pacific Region.
UTS: Nursing, Midwifery and Health also plays an integral role in the following Centres, which sit in other UTS Faculties' portfolios.
Centre for Health Communication
This Centre is a joint initiative with UTS: Arts and Social Sciences, and focuses on communication that structures and supports health care services and how health technologies and spatial designs enable and constrain human communication.
Centre for Health Economics, Research and Evaluation
The Centre for Health Economics, Research and Evaluation is a joint initiative with UTS: Business. Activities relate to the development and application of health economics and health services research through research, teaching and policy support.
