Part task trainers are used by students to practise skills used on particular parts of the body

Virtual IV™

Students use the Virtual IV™ when learning intravenous cannulation

The virtual patient's response, which depends on how well the cannula has been inserted, is displayed on the monitor

Multiple scrub rooms are located at both the Kuring-gai and City campuses

Keeping pace with the healthcare industry, the Faculty has introduced point-of-care technologies into curriculum

Maternity and paediatric focused facilities

These facilities are utilised by our Bachelor of Midwifery students and Bachelor of Nursing students undertaking paediatric and neonatal care subjects

High fidelity simulation lab

This state-of-the-art nursing and midwifery lab is equipped with high fidelity equipment for simulating complex clinical scenarios

SimMan

SimMan is an advanced patient simulator, complete with palbable pulses, breathing sounds and chest movements, injectable sites, voice and touchscreen monitors

Emergency scenarios

SimMan is used by students to practise realistic emergency situations. Here, Bachelor of Midwifery students practise resuscitating a woman in labour

Control room

Adjoining the high fidelity simulation lab, the control room allows teaching staff to externally alter SimMan's physiology and observe students' responses
